We are recruiting doctors GP specialist for Sweden.
Location:
This position is on a health care station located in a very small village/town which is quite remote but still not too far from bigger cities. In the whole community there is a population of approx 10.000. It is located not far from Oslo in Norway and close to Swedish town called Karlstad which means it is not too far to urban life and to an international airport (Oslo). This is for a person who like to live near the nature in a small community and maybe have interests in the field of hunting, fishing etc, etc.
Backround:
On the health care station there are 3 GP positions in total and now there are 2 GPs working there, both women. Together they have 6.000 listed patients which will mean approx 1.800 patients/doctor.
The rest of the duties are now covered by locums. Besides that there are nurses, secretaries, 2 midwifes etc.
Requirements:
The candidate should be a diploma specialist in family medicine with some years of experience (it is not an advantage to have several specialist certificates besides family medicine), interest in and a will to continue to be a GP and develop in the profession , willing to move and live in Sweden on a permanent basis, willing to work and live in a small community near the nature, age preferably in his or her fourties, good in speaking and understanding English.
There are special circumstances regarding to get a Swedish GP specialist certificate that the candidate must know about. That is that they have to do specialist training regardless what experience/education you got before and independent from what country inside EU the candidate come from. This will of course mean that they will not go the full length of the training which is 5 years in Sweden but sometimes it could take up to 2 years depending on what experience they got.
Salary:
Before the doctor will have to do some extra specialist training to become a Swedish specialist in family medicine even though he/she is a specialist now in family medicine. Because of that he/she will start at a lower level than a specialist. A specialist in family medicine has a �basic� salary of approx 60 0000 sek/month before taxes. Thais is without any on call duties or overtime etc, which there will be also but it depends on how much one wants to work. If you have an average workload with an average amount of oncall duties etc, I think you could add approx 10.000 to 15.000 sek/month to the basic salary. Also possibilities to earn more.
What level a candiate will start on as a basic salary is difficult to say, a guess is approx 40 000 to 45 000 sek/month with approx the same amount of extra as mentioned above. This will then give him approx 55.000 � 60.000 sek/month before taxes.
Language:
Language course in Swedish will be held in Sweden and arranged and payed for by the customer. During language course they will have a smaller salary and receive full salary when they will start working.
